Crystal Natvig is an Instructor in the Department of Psychiatry and a Biostatistics Consultant in the Psychiatry Research Innovations at the University of Colorado, Anschutz School of Medicine. With a master’s degree in public health specializing in Applied Biostatistics, Crystal brings over 19 years of experience to her roles at the University of Colorado.
She is a data analyst and research implementation specialist and possesses extensive expertise in health care data management, statistical analysis, and reporting. She is proficient in various statistical software systems, including SAS, SPSS, JMP, and R, as well as ArcGIS mapping and complex data management. Crystal develops and maintains systems for data collection and analysis, ensuring data quality and integrity.
Crystal assists with randomization schemes, power and sample size calculations, and analytic plans. She also contributes to study design, IRB protocol development, and report generation. Additionally, she teaches and mentors residents, postdoctoral fellows, and junior faculty, providing workshops and one-on-one sessions on research activities, data management, and analysis.
